  • Description of work: the internship is part of a project that involves the construction of a system to drive the user into a library towards the placement of the book chosen by him.
    The system to be implemented is based on two distinct activities: the first one is focused on the definition of a mapping system between books and their physical location in the environment; the second provides the location of the user inside the environment.
    Regarding the first part, we aim to verify the feasibility of the use of the SIS platform to support the mapping of the books in the physical environment. The second part includes the analysis of tracking devices such as mote and iBeacon and their use to support indoor localization that exploits the smartphone's IMU or portable devices. The internship will focus on the second part and will also include the installation and configuration of the tracking devices deemed suitable in the analysis previously conducted.
